Family-run since 1974, pairs heavy-duty towing with a full parts shop
Ricky Patterson Sr. founded Patterson Truck Parts in 1974, and the shop closed for a decade before his son Ricky reopened it in 2005. Today the business runs a PTP Towing division offering heavy-duty tow and recovery for all makes and models, plus local and long-distance towing and landall service using a fleet of light, medium, and heavy-duty tow trucks. The Alexander City shop expanded in 2013 to seven bays with an overhead crane, truck lift, and computer alignment machine, and stocks more than 5,000 square feet of parts inventory. Ricky Patterson holds a diesel mechanics degree from Nashville Auto Diesel College and spent six years at a Caterpillar dealership before taking over the family business, and staff are certified for annual DOT and Railroad Hi-Rail inspections.
