Coachella Valley tow company traced back to a 1968 gas station in Indio
Plaza Towing traces its roots to 1968, when Bob and Leanne Butzlaff relocated to California and opened a service station and repair shop in Indio after a tornado destroyed Bob's original Iowa garage. A tow truck purchased to support that repair business grew into a dedicated towing operation, and Bob's son Trent began riding along as a child before becoming a licensed operator himself and eventually taking over management of the company in 1992. Today Plaza Towing runs more than 30 trucks across light-, medium-, and heavy-duty towing, plus lowboy trailer transport, out of two Coachella Valley locations in Indio and Palm Desert. Services include flatbed towing for exotic and low-profile vehicles, mobile battery replacement backed by AAA, winching, and towing contracts with local law enforcement, dealerships, and body shops throughout Palm Springs, La Quinta, Cathedral City, and nearby cities.
