Santa Rita Tow traces its history in Pleasanton back to 1934, when Marie and Rusty Guasco founded Santa Rita Garage and Tow alongside the Santa Rita Cafe. Their son Richard Guasco ran the business for more than five decades before it passed to a father-son team and later to Bruce and Suzanne Luther, who kept it operating locally for another 28 years. Today the company holds California license number 0443013 and partners with the California Highway Patrol, Pleasanton Police Department, Alameda Sheriff, and BART Police. Services include towing to a customer's chosen location, roadside assistance such as battery, tire, fuel, and locksmith help, and end-of-life vehicle disposal that covers hazardous material removal along with DMV and EPA paperwork.
