Laurel, Delaware service station and towing operation running continuously since 1955
Carey's Inc. traces back to 1955, when Reese Carey opened a Flying A Service Station in Laurel, Delaware, on the same site the business occupies today. The gas station side later became a Getty station, was incorporated in 1982, converted to Sunoco in 2004, and rebranded as Liberty Gas in 2016. Carey's Towing, a division of the company, has grown from three to eleven service bays and now runs a fleet of fifteen tow trucks capable of light- to heavy-duty towing, using fully hydraulic wheel-lifts and offering wide-load permits for Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. The company's service department is a NAPA Autocare Center staffed by ASE-certified technicians, and Carey's holds an A+ Better Business Bureau rating dating back to 1977. Carey's Towing is also a member of the Towing and Recovery Association of America and occasionally hosts WreckMaster classes.
