Compass Marine Services provides white-label on-water towing dispatch, claims support, and membership services for boat manufacturers, insurance providers, boat associations, dealer networks, and member clubs. Founded in 2012 as an outgrowth of the National Boat Owners Association, which began selling boating memberships in Southern Florida back in 1984, the company runs a 24/7 command center that fields tow requests, locates a service provider from its national network of towing partners and marinas, dispatches help, and processes the resulting claim. Additional offerings include security monitoring that adds live support to GPS tracking systems, along with call center support for clients' own customer service needs. By 2022, ten years after its founding, Compass Marine Services had reached a milestone of one million actively serviced customers across its partner network.
