In 2003, Nick and Lisa DeGenaro acquired what is now Coastal Towing and Marine Services, the family-owned company operating TowBoatU.S. Venice & Englewood. Six fully equipped towboats across three ports serve the area from Little Sarasota Bay to Gasparilla Sound, with coverage extending 50 miles from each port. Services include on-water towing, jump starts, fuel and oil delivery, soft ungroundings, and dock-to-dock towing for Saltwater Towing members, along with salvage, diving, and vessel disposal for boaters throughout the region. As part of the nationwide BoatU.S. network of over 600 towboats and 300 ports, TowBoatU.S. Venice & Englewood connects members to 24-hour dispatch service. The company has served the Venice, Englewood, and Boynton areas for more than 20 years.
