Athens towing business founded in 1999, now run by the founders' grandchildren
Barrett's Towing was established in Athens, Georgia in December 1999 by Wayne and Sara Barrett, starting with a single rollback truck in a shared facility. After Wayne Barrett's passing in November 2015, the family business continued under grandchildren Tyler Mize and Trey Mize, who now run a fleet of rollbacks, wreckers, and landolls. Services include local and long-distance towing, equipment transport, private property impounding, jump starts, and vehicle unlocks, along with accident recovery and access to low-clearance parking decks. Towing is available 24/7, while office hours run Monday through Friday and Saturday mornings. Barrett's Towing, whose slogan is 'One Call, Hauls It All,' serves Athens neighborhoods including Five Points, Normaltown, and Boulevard, along with Winterville, Bogart, Watkinsville, and Hull, and responds to calls along Loop 10, Highway 78, Highway 316, and near the University of Georgia campus.
