Joe's Towing & Recovery traces its roots to 1969, when it began as a single-truck operation attached to a gas station in Bloomington, Illinois. The company settled into its current Bloomington headquarters on Springfield Road in 1980 and has since expanded to locations in Normal, Peoria, Creve Coeur, and Springfield, Illinois. Its fleet includes flatbeds, heavy-duty under-reaches, and rotators for light, medium, and heavy-duty towing, plus equipment and vehicle transport, accident recovery, and roadside assistance such as jump-starts, fuel delivery, tire changes, and licensed locksmith lockout service. Founder Joe served as president of the national Towing and Recovery Association of America and was a founding member and two-term president of the Professional Towing & Recovery Operators of Illinois; in 2007 he was inducted into the International Towing & Recovery Hall of Fame in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The company serves Bloomington, Normal, Peoria, Springfield, and numerous surrounding central Illinois communities.
