Family-run heavy-duty towing at the Griffith, Indiana crossroads
Double T Towing Recovery has operated as a family-run business in Griffith, Indiana for more than two decades, working the transportation crossroads where Northwest Indiana meets the Chicagoland area. Heavy-duty towing is the company's specialty, with a fleet that includes a 75-ton rotator and wheel-lift along with four additional heavy-duty wreckers. As an authorized carrier, Double T handles long-distance towing across multiple states and recovers tractors, tractor-trailers, motor coaches, fire trucks, buses, RVs, mixers, refuse trucks, ambulances, car haulers, snow plows, and roll-off trucks, delivering vehicles to major dealers and engine companies. The company responds to rollovers, jackknifed semis, and crashes blocking traffic on the interstates running through the region. Towing runs 24 hours a day, while the office keeps hours Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
