Stilesville, IN towing and truck repair, family-run since the 1960s
Curtis Garage & Wrecker traces back to the mid-1960s, when Emezire 'Bud' and Wilma 'Sis' Curtis started the business to help travelers and stranded motorists along the newly built Interstate 70 west of Indianapolis. Grandson Gordon Curtis purchased the company from his grandparents in 1990 and expanded it into an operation with nearly 20 full-time employees. Located near I-70 exit 51 in Stilesville, Indiana, the company offers 24-hour towing and recovery every day of the year, including holidays and inclement weather, along with local and long-distance hauling for vehicles and equipment of all sizes. A full-service repair shop on site specializes in diesel truck and trailer repair, while also servicing light and medium-duty trucks and some passenger cars. Every call is answered by a live dispatcher, and vehicles are kept in a secured storage facility while awaiting pickup or repair.
