Des Moines towing and repair shop run by the founder's grandchildren since 1968
Perry's Service & Towing traces back to 1968, when it opened as a DX filling station in downtown Des Moines before moving to its current University Avenue location a year later. Still owned by the founder's grandchildren, the shop runs a fleet of 13 light and medium duty tow trucks and flatbeds alongside a full-time automotive repair staff handling brakes, tune-ups, and tire sales. Perry's sells gasoline and diesel fuel on-site and takes on flatbed towing, motorcycle transport, wreck recovery, and off-road winching throughout the Des Moines metro. City View Magazine named the company its 2015 'Best Towing Company' for the area, and in 2025 Perry's added a self-serve car wash a block from its main office.
