Owner Joseph Johnston is a second-generation tow truck driver with about 20 years of experience; his father, Tad Johnston, worked hooking up wreckers for Russell's Towing Company during Iowa City snow emergencies, and his son Gage is now following the same path. The company maintains a secured impound lot on Highway 1 SW in Iowa City and handles roadside recoveries for cars, motorcycles, and pickup trucks throughout the corridor area, occasionally extending into Illinois.
