Family-run Sioux City tow company operating since 1951 with 50-ton rotator equipment
Meier Towing Inc. has served the Sioux City area since 1951, when founders Clarence and Lena Meier started the company; it later passed to Chuck and Judy Day and is now run by Jeff and Heidi Day. The company operates from locations in Sioux City, Iowa, and South Sioux City, Nebraska, with drivers on duty around the clock. Services include light-duty towing, jump starts, lockouts, and tire changes for local and long-distance hauls, plus lowboy hauling for heavy equipment on 50-ton and 35-ton trailers. For bigger recoveries, Meier Towing runs a 50-ton and a 40-ton rotator along with several additional heavy wreckers, and it regularly travels long distances for heavy-duty jobs. The company also maintains multiple large storage yards, including inside storage, for vehicles of any size.
