Dawn Services has provided offshore marine towing and vessel support since 1982, when the Charpentier family, a father-and-sons team with maritime backgrounds, founded the company. Based in Harvey, Louisiana, the operation works across the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic and Pacific coasts of the United States, the Caribbean, and South America. Services include anchor handling, rig towing, dredging and pipeline support, oil spill response support, marine construction support, ship assists for docking and undocking, and both domestic and international salvage support. The fleet ranges from 3,600 horsepower vessels up to 16,000 horsepower units, along with tugs, barges, crewboats, utility boats, and supply vessels for global repositioning and relocation jobs. Dawn Services maintains an Environmental Management System to manage waste, pollutants, and hazardous materials handling aboard its vessels, and support is available around the clock.
