Family-run towing and auto repair in Amesbury, MA since 1983
Newburyport Towing Service and Expert Auto & Truck Service was founded in Amesbury in 1983 by Walter and Kim Lowell and remains a family-run operation, with a son who joined the business in 2011. The company grew from a single repair shop and tow lot behind the Amesbury post office into its current facility on South Hunt Road after Newburyport's redevelopment eliminated its original storage lots. Office hours run weekdays and Saturday mornings, but the company provides 24-hour emergency service for towing, recovery, winching, road service, transport, lockouts, and jump starts. Its founders have held leadership roles in state towing and repair trade associations, including the Statewide Towing Association of Massachusetts. Customers have praised the company's quick response during storms and stressful breakdowns in reviews posted on the company's site.
