Ann Arbor towing tracing its roots back to 1971
Sakstrup's Towing has served Ann Arbor, Michigan, since 1971, when Richard Sakstrup formed the company after acquiring three F350 trucks from Hatto's. Owner Dennis Brewer, who also runs sister company Brewer's Towing, acquired Sakstrup's in 2002 and has served on the Michigan Towing Association board, including 18 years as vice president; he was inducted into the International Towing and Recovery Hall of Fame in 2002. The company runs 24-hour, seven-day operations with 13 professional drivers and nine dispatchers, operating a fleet of 18 road service units, with access to 25 additional units and a 75-ton rotator through Brewer's Towing. Services include local and long-distance towing, private property towing, heavy duty towing, air cushion recovery and equipment moving for motor clubs, dealerships, and government agencies.
