Parking
Park at least 30 feet from a stop sign or traffic signal; 20 feet from a marked crosswalk; 15 feet from a fire hydrant; and 5 feet from a driveway with a curb cut no wider than 10 feet. [detroitmi.gov]

Fees
DPD waives all towing and storage fees when an auto-theft victim retrieves a recovered vehicle from the city lot; insurance companies still must pay for release. [detroitmi.gov]
Private-property towing
Before a private-property tow the owner or lessor generally must post notice at every vehicle entrance with letters at least 2 inches high; the sign must name the towing service and phone number and remain installed for at least 24 hours. [legislature.mi.gov]
