Family-run since 1951, towing and recovery across Southeast Michigan
Byers Wrecker Service traces back to 1951, when Gene Byers founded the company in Rochester, Michigan; his son Bill began towing at 16 in 1976 and took over the business in 1994, growing it from six trucks to more than 30 across three locations, including Lapeer. The company provides 24/7 towing and roadside assistance throughout Southeast Michigan, covering light, medium, and heavy-duty towing, semi and equipment hauling, and rotator recovery work. Roadside services include jumpstarts, lockouts, tire changes, and fuel delivery, while additional offerings cover classic car and motorcycle towing, boat and trailer transport, abandoned vehicle removal, and private property impounds.
