Minnesota's only mobile EV charging company, towing since 1987
Purcell Towing has operated in Apple Valley, Minnesota since 1987, covering the South Metro with towing, jump starts, lockouts, fuel delivery, and what it describes as Minnesota's only mobile Level II EV charging service. Technicians bring Level II 240-volt charging directly to a stranded electric vehicle using Tesla/NACS or J1772 connectors, which the company says covers nearly all EVs on the road without a tow truck. After every jump start, staff check the vehicle's alternator to catch a failing charging system before it strands the driver again. The company runs flatbed and wheel-lift tow trucks for cars, motorcycles, ATVs, and specialty vehicles, plus a commercial jumpstart unit for semis and medium-duty trucks. Purcell Towing states a response time of 30 minutes or less and serves Apple Valley, Eagan, Burnsville, Lakeville, Rosemount, and Farmington, accepting major cards, mobile payment apps, and cash.
