What began in 1971 as Southside 66, a Phillips 66 service station opened by Rodney Burnham, grew into Southside Towing & Recovery after Burnham bought his first tow truck in 1976. His son Paul purchased the business in 1996 and continues to run it today from Mahnomen Drive in Bemidji. Beyond towing, wheel-lift and under-lift service, and ditch recovery, the company operates a full auto repair shop staffed by ASE-certified technicians, along with tire sales, DOT inspections, and PMI services.
