Great Falls, Montana towing and repair shop founded by Gene Carnahan in 1968
Carnahan's Towing & Repair traces back to 1968, when founder Gene Carnahan leased a small shop in downtown Great Falls, Montana, and began servicing mail delivery vehicles and local customer cars before buying his first used tow truck. His son Mel Carnahan, involved in the business since the late 1980s, now runs the company his father built, and the shop remains family-owned more than 55 years later. Carnahan's is a NAPA AutoCare Center, an AAA Approved Repair Shop, and an AAA Roadside Services provider, staffed by ASE-certified technicians. Its fleet covers light-, medium-, and heavy-duty towing, including semi-truck recovery, alongside roadside services such as jump starts, lockouts, flat tire changes, fuel delivery, and winch-outs, plus specialty transport for construction and agricultural equipment, motorcycles, and oversized loads. Towing operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, while the repair shop keeps weekday business hours.
