Haines Towing Services has operated in Bordentown, New Jersey since 1933, when Joseph R. Haines Sr. and his brothers opened a garage and towing service in town. Joseph Haines returned from Army Air Corps service in World War II and reopened the business with his wife Pearl at its current location in 1946, and it has run continuously there since under his son Joseph Jr. The company holds a contract with the State of New Jersey and State Police and specializes in extra heavy-duty recovery, backed by an 80-plus ton rotator with a Level III operator, crane service, and air cushion recovery. Other services include light- and heavy-duty towing, flatbed towing, equipment transport, truck road service, aircraft recovery, and forklift service. Haines Towing is a member of the Towing and Recovery Association of America and the Garden State Towing Association, primarily covering Central and South Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania.
