Family-run, woman-owned Jersey City towing company since 1985
Truchan Towing & Recovery has operated in Jersey City, New Jersey since 1985, when Anthony P. Truchan Jr. founded the business with his brother Peter as Truchan Brothers Auto & Towing. Under Anthony's leadership, the company grew from a single tow truck to a fleet of 20 trucks and a staff of 26. After Anthony passed away in 2019, his wife Grace, a 21-year breast cancer survivor, took over ownership and kept the business running through the Covid-19 pandemic. Today, Truchan Towing & Recovery operates a fleet of five tow trucks and offers 24/7 light-to-medium duty flatbed and wheel-lift towing, roadside assistance, and private property towing accounts for Jersey City, Hudson County, and the surrounding area. The company describes itself as family-run and woman-owned.
