Finger Lakes Wrecker has served the Ithaca, New York area since 1970, growing from a one-man, one-truck operation into a fleet of eight tow trucks handling everything from motorcycles to boat trailers. The company was the first operator in the area and the fourth in the United States to adopt wheel lift systems, which lift vehicles by their tires to avoid damage. A 1988 custom Kenworth in the fleet was featured in the book The World's Greatest Tow Truck.
