Von's Airline Service Station has operated in Troy, New York since being established in 1947 by brothers John and Larry Von Fricken. Known to customers as Von's Garage, it has been at its current location since 1954 and describes itself as the oldest continuously operating full-service repair shop, body shop, and towing service in the City of Troy. The business is now owned and operated by Gail and Joe Spiak, with Gail being the daughter of founder John Von Fricken, and ownership is being passed to a third generation. Towing services include complete 24-hour towing and storage using flatbed, conventional, and 4WD equipment, covering local and long-distance calls as well as NYS Police, Troy Police Department, and Troy Housing Authority authorized tows, private lot towing, and equipment and machinery moving.
