Gateway Cenex has served the Grand Forks, North Dakota community since 1964 as a locally owned, full-service auto repair center, gas station, and convenience store. Current owner Robert Eckerdt began sweeping floors there in 1985 and purchased the business in 1995; today he and his wife Denise run the shop with ASE-certified mechanics who bring decades of combined experience to engine, brake, radiator, suspension, and air conditioning repair, along with routine maintenance such as oil changes, tune-ups, tire rotations, and 30K-, 60K-, and 90K-mile services. For vehicles that cannot be driven in, Gateway Cenex will tow them to the shop for repair. The business also operates a touchless car wash and 24-hour pay-at-the-pump fuel, with the auto shop open Monday through Friday and the convenience store open seven days a week from its location on Gateway Drive.
