Ole Olson's Towing & Recovery traces its roots to a predecessor business, Owl Wrecker, that began serving Minot, North Dakota in 1956; founder Ole started in the towing trade in 1970, bought out Owl Wrecker in 1977, and the company took its present name in 1995. Today the business offers car and truck towing, heavy-duty towing for semi tractors, trailers, commercial trucks, RVs, oilfield equipment, and construction machinery, plus heavy-duty recovery, equipment recovery, winching, load transfers, and accident site cleanup. Ole Olson's also performs ice recovery for vehicles, ATVs, and snowmobiles that have gone through ice. Ole was inducted into the International Towing & Recovery Hall of Fame in 2009 and belonged to the North Dakota Towing Association, South Dakota Towing Association, and the Towing and Recovery Association of America.
