Central Ohio towing company tracing its roots to 1927
Eitel's Towing and Transportation traces its roots to 1927, when it started as a grocery market and service station in Orient, Ohio before expanding into towing in 1961. Now owned by Jonathan and Shannon Lentz, who took over the business in March 2026, the company runs a 24/7 dispatch center from its Orient headquarters and a second location in Chillicothe, opened in 2020. The fleet includes Landoll, lowboy, flatbed, softside, and RGN trailers capable of handling loads up to 8 axles and 80,000 pounds, along with rotator cranes and 25- and 35-ton heavy wrecker units for commercial recovery. Services span light-, medium-, and heavy-duty towing, mobile diesel roadside repair, accident recovery, winch-outs, and load logistics such as load shifts and transloading. The company has served as a partner to local police departments for over 30 years across Central and Southern Ohio.
