Strickland Road Service has provided towing, recovery, and vehicle repair since 1984, when founder Charles Strickland built on a family automotive background that traced back to Strickland Tire in Wichita in 1970. The company started with a single service truck in Hunnewell, Kansas, added towing in 1986, and built its main facility at Exit 4 on Interstate 35 in 1995. Today Strickland Road Service runs dispatch centers in Braman, South Haven, Wellington, and Wichita, covering roughly 100 miles of I-35 between Billings, Oklahoma and Eldorado, Kansas. Services include light, medium, and heavy-duty towing, heavy-duty winching, rotator recovery, 4x4 off-road recovery, long-distance transport, and accident recovery, along with mobile truck repair, diesel engine diagnostics, tractor-trailer repair, fleet maintenance, and tire sales for trucks and passenger vehicles. Over its history the company has handled more than 1,000 heavy-duty accidents across the region.
