Santa Fe Tow Service traces its roots to the Santa Fe Body Shop, established in 1963, where founder Jon Kupchin got his start driving a tow truck at seventeen. What began as a one-truck operation has grown into a company with more than 80 trucks, roughly 75 employees, and a headquarters in Lenexa, Kansas, alongside additional locations in Kansas City, Joplin, Blue Springs, and Quapaw. Drivers complete Towing and Recovery Association of America and WreckMaster certification, and the fleet includes light, medium, and heavy-duty wreckers, rollbacks, landoll trailers, auto transporters, and GPS-tracked units for faster dispatch. The company provides towing service to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Kansas Turnpike Authority, Missouri Highway Patrol, and Joplin Police Department. Now led in part by Vice President Carrie Kupchin, Santa Fe Tow Service remains a family business serving communities across Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma.
