C & D Towing & Recovery was founded in 1976 by Carl M. DiBeradin, who started with a single hand-crank truck and ran the business from his home while his wife, Bonnie, handled the phones and bookkeeping. After Carl's passing in 1997, the company passed to his sons, Jeffrey and Todd DiBeradin, with Bonnie remaining active in the business; Jeffrey passed away in December 2024. Now operating from two locations in Dravosburg and McKeesport, Pennsylvania, the AAA-affiliated company provides emergency towing, lockout service, jump starts, battery delivery, flat-tire changes, fuel delivery, winch-outs, and accident recovery, along with private property and municipal towing. C & D Towing & Recovery has received AAA's Service Provider of Excellence award in 2016 and 2018, and the AAA East Central Region Metro Contractor of the Year award in 2016.
