Heavy-duty truck parts and recovery operation rooted in a 1966 towing business
Boots & Hanks traces back to 1966, when founder Ed "Boots" Zymblosky converted a 1957 GMC one-ton truck into a homemade wrecker and opened Boots & Hanks Towing. More than half a century later, Boots still works alongside his son Eddie, and the company has grown into one of the Northeast's largest full-service heavy-duty truck parts and recovery operations, based in Scranton, Pennsylvania, with a second Pennsylvania location. Its 20-acre salvage yards and climate-controlled warehouses stock new, used, and rebuilt diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, and body parts for major truck brands including Cummins, Caterpillar, Detroit Diesel, Volvo, Mack, and International. The company dismantles dozens of trucks each month, ships parts worldwide by truck, rail, air, and ocean freight, and still handles recovery requests directly through the family that has run the business for nearly 60 years.
