Eastgate Towing & Storage Inc. was founded by Roy and Lea McElroy, who started the business with a single truck and grew it into today's operation serving Sioux Falls, South Dakota since 1973. In the 1970s, Lea would drive to accident sites in the middle of the night to help with towing; she passed away from cancer in 2004, but the company carries on that same commitment to customers. Services include 24/7 towing and roadside assistance, vehicle recovery including underwater vehicle recovery, motorcycle towing with enclosed trailers, and secure vehicle storage, and the company holds annual auctions for unclaimed and impounded vehicles. Eastgate generally serves within a 50-mile radius of Sioux Falls but will travel farther when needed.
