Third-generation Durand shop, from bicycle repair to heavy-duty towing
Polzer Brothers began three generations ago as a small bicycle repair shop in Durand, Wisconsin, and has since grown into a 24/7 towing, recovery, and diesel repair operation. Karl now runs the business as sole owner following Dave's retirement. The fleet includes an ultra-duty recovery tow truck, multiple heavy-duty wreckers, medium and light-duty tow trucks, flatbeds, an enclosed car trailer, a semi-tractor, off-road portable winches, and boats for water recovery. Polzer Brothers specializes in heavy-duty towing, off-road recovery, and ice and water recovery, and also runs a full-service garage staffed by ASE-certified mechanics handling diesel engine diagnostics, transmission work, and DOT inspections on makes like Freightliner, Kenworth, and Peterbilt. The company has served the Durand area, including Eau Claire and the Twin Cities, for over 75 years.
